Browns Whispering Pines began with a simple love for this little piece of Kootenay Lake — the towering pines, mountains across the water, quiet mornings and sunsets that somehow never seem to look the same twice.
Set across 11 private acres stretching from the shores of Kootenay Lake into the mountainside, it's a place where life naturally slows down. Wander to the beach with your morning tea, spend an afternoon swimming or paddling on the lake, play a few games, curl up somewhere quiet with a good book, settle in beside the fire, or simply sit back and take in the view. When evening comes, pull up a stool at the beach bar and watch the last light disappear behind the mountains. If you're feeling adventurous, enjoy a late night swim under the stars.
Browns Whispering Pines isn't a resort, and we don't want it to feel like one. It's personal, peaceful and a little off the beaten path. It's our home, our own little piece of the Kootenays, and a place we genuinely love sharing with others.
We're always dreaming up new ways to make it a little more special — adding thoughtful touches, creating new spaces and watching this place continue to grow with us.

Cozy, comfortable and tucked among the trees, our rustic-meets-modern cabin is made for slowing down and settling in. With two bedrooms, a full kitchen and all the comforts of home, there's room for up to four guests to relax, reconnect and enjoy everything the property and lake have to offer.
A little camping, a lot more comfortable. RV There Yet combines the laid-back feel of camping with a cozy, modern space designed for one or two adults — without all the hauling and setup.
Inside, you'll find a comfortable queen bed, kitchen, dining and lounging space, with everything you need to settle in and get comfortable. Outside, your own little camping space gives you room to BBQ, relax around the propane fire and enjoy those wonderfully slow mornings and easy evenings that camping is all about.
